Serena Returns
American tennis player Serena Williams returned to the Wimbledon courts in London on Tuesday, four years after her last appearance at the tournament.

Footage filmed on Tuesday shows event attendees entering London’s All England Club before the match, while security officers stood guard around the venue.
Fans Back Comeback
“I think it’s exciting. I think she’s earned it, for a start. You know, she’s a master of an athlete, so you can never count someone like that out,” said James, one of Serena’s fans.
The man, who also praised several male tennis players during his remarks, including Sinner, Djokovic and Federer, said Williams had the resources and a strong team around her to support her comeback.
“I don’t think the people around her would encourage her to come here if they didn’t think she could at least get through a few rounds,” James said.

Rennes and Luis, other event attendees, also praised Williams’ career, describing the American tennis star as brilliant. However, Francisco, another tennis fan, was less certain about her chances of winning the tournament.
“I don’t think there’s much chance of her winning because of her condition and other factors. But I still think she has a lot to give to the sport. Even if she plays only a limited number of matches, she can still contribute a lot,” he said.
Match Result
Williams lost the match in three sets to Australian Maya Joint. Serena has won 14 Wimbledon titles across singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles during her career.
