Warships Arrive
Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy warships CNS Nanning and CNS Hengyang sailed into Victoria Harbour on Thursday for a five-day visit to Hong Kong.

Footage shows photographers and journalists gathered along the waterfront as the vessels enter the harbour. CNS Nanning, hull number 162, is a Type 052DL guided-missile destroyer, while CNS Hengyang, hull number 568, is a Type 054A guided-missile frigate.
Public Events Planned
The ships are due to berth at the PLA Hong Kong Garrison’s naval base on Stonecutters Island, where public tours and cultural exchange activities are planned over the weekend.

The visit is part of events marking the 29th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to Chinese sovereignty.
Footage also shows CNS Suqian near the naval base. The Type 056A anti-submarine corvette is assigned to the Hong Kong Garrison and is not part of the visiting task group.
Visitors Express Pride
“The feelings are always different because the visiting warships change. But every time I see them, I feel proud of our PLA Navy. Our power is stronger yet again,” one visitor said.
“I brought the military flag to honour their visit. I hope everyone sees it, but it doesn’t matter if they don’t; those of us who have served in the military recognise our three flags: the national flag, the party flag, and the military flag,” added another.
Nanning previously took part in China’s evacuation operation from Sudan. The Hong Kong visit gives residents a chance to see PLA Navy vessels and meet crew members.
