Good samaritans rescue child nearly swept away by flash floods in Guangzhou

Flood Rescue Heroics

A group of delivery riders jumped into a flooded street in southern China’s Guangzhou to save a child from being swept away by floods while riding a bike on Friday.

The video is making rounds on social media, with netizens lauding the passersby for their heroic gesture during torrential rain.

Chinese authorities have activated a Level-IV emergency flood response for Guangdong and Guizhou, as southern China faces its first prolonged, widespread rainfall of 2026, which is expected to last until Tuesday.
