Flags Lowered In Honour
US President Donald Trump has ordered all American flags to be lowered to half-mast in honour of Senator Lindsey Graham following his death on Saturday.
Footage from Sunday shows the US flag at the White House lowered to half-mast.

“I am ordering all American Flags throughout the United States lowered to Half Mast until Saturday evening at 6 P.M. GOD BLESS YOU LINDSEY!” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
Sudden Death Confirmed
Announcing his death, Graham’s office had originally said the senator had died following a “brief and sudden illness” and requested privacy for his family. He was 71.
According to local media reports, preliminary findings from the medical examiner later indicated that Graham died from a ruptured aorta caused by arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
Political Career Remembered
The late senator from South Carolina had just returned from a visit to Ukraine, where he met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev to discuss Ukraine’s air-defence needs and further sanctions pressure on Moscow.

Graham had served in the US Senate since 2003 and was seeking a fifth six-year term in November. Originally a fierce critic of Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign, Graham later became one of the president’s closest legislative allies and a key confidant on foreign policy.
