England Fans Celebrate
England fans celebrated into the early hours of Monday after the Three Lions secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over co-host Mexico to book their place in the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals.
Footage shows hundreds of supporters packing pubs and restaurants across London after local authorities extended opening hours for the late-night fixture, with jubilant scenes unfolding as fans celebrated the final whistle.

Despite being reduced to 10 men following a red card, England held on to defeat Mexico 3-2 in a thrilling last-16 encounter.
“I was tense. I was nervous, but I loved it,” a supporter said after the match. “What we did tonight with ten men was beautiful. The atmosphere was something I haven’t felt in a long time. People came together. It was unified.”
Quarter-Final Hopes
England will now face Norway in the quarter-finals after the Scandinavian side stunned Brazil with a 2-1 victory.
“Norway? No way,” joked a fan. “We’re all the way.”
Another supporter said Norway’s upset victory could work in England’s favour.
“Brazil losing was a bit of a shock. So for it to be Norway is an even better chance for England,” she said.
Fans Believe
Fans also praised the atmosphere created by the delayed kickoff, with many remaining out until the early morning to celebrate.
“One of the best England games I’ve seen,” said a fan. “The energy was electric.”

At the same time, supporters voiced a growing belief that England could go all the way under manager Thomas Tuchel.
“I believe England can win,” said a supporter. “Tuchel’s our guy.”
Four teams have reached the quarter-finals, including England, with the remaining places to be decided in the upcoming matches.
