Flotilla Interception Reported
The Israeli Navy reported interception of seven out of 58 Global Sumud Flotilla vessels near the Greek island of Crete late Wednesday.
Footage shows crew members sitting with their hands up as armed soldiers boarded a boat.

In a post on X, Global Sumud Flotilla stated that contact with 11 boats was lost, accusing Israeli forces of ‘illegally surrounding the flotilla in international waters and threatening kidnapping and violence’.
Accusations And Claims
“Governments must act now to protect the flotilla and hold Israel accountable for these flagrant violations of international law and for Israel’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people,” the post reads.
On the same day, the Israeli Foreign Ministry released a video of ‘condoms and drugs’ allegedly found on one of the intercepted vessels.
Israeli Permanent Representative to the United Nations Danny Danon also welcomed the operation, praising the actions of the military personnel.
Flotilla Background Details
“Another provocative flotilla was stopped before reaching our area,” he wrote in a post on X, adding, “Our brave IDF soldiers are acting with professionalism and determination dealing with a group of delusional attention-seeking agitators.”

The Global Sumud Flotilla set sail from Barcelona on April 12 with over 70 vessels and 1,000 participants from more than 70 countries. It marks the latest activist-led attempt to break the blockade, after a similar flotilla was intercepted by the Israeli navy in October 2025.
