The UAE’s Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 delivered the first batch of aid from the Saqr Humanitarian Ship to the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, as part of Emirati efforts to support Palestinians ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.

Footage released by the Emirates News Agency (WAM) shows humanitarian aid supplies being unloaded from the ship, with volunteers loading boxes onto trucks that later crossed the Rafah land crossing into Gaza.
A volunteer said the aid, provided by the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Work, is intended to reach Gaza residents before Ramadan.

“Through Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the United Arab Emirates reaffirms its unwavering commitment to supporting our Palestinian brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip and alleviating their suffering,” he said.
WAM reported that the first batch of assistance entered Gaza four days after the humanitarian vessel docked at Egypt’s Al-Arish Port.
The humanitarian vessel departed Ras al-Khaimah Port on January 22, bound for Egypt’s Al Arish Port before proceeding to Gaza. It is the 12th aid ship sent by the UAE to support Gaza’s population.

The UAE launched Operation Al-Faris Al-Shahim 3 on November 5, 2023, under the directives of President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to provide humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in Gaza following the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas on October 7, 2023.
