Fans Eye Glory
Spanish football fans said on Thursday that their side had a genuine chance of winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with teenage winger Lamine Yamal to become one of the tournament’s standout players.

Footage filmed in Barcelona shows fans wearing Spain shirts and discussing the national team’s chances ahead of the tournament in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
“Lamine Yamal can be the star of the World Cup, and Spain has many options to win it,” a fan said.
Yamal Sparks Excitement
Another supporter said Yamal’s rise had made him one of the most exciting players in world football.
“Lamine Yamal, right now, at 18 or 19 years old, is one of the two or three best players in the world. It is crazy that someone so young can perform at this professional level under such pressure. If he keeps this form, Spain can win the World Cup,” added a second.

Fans said Spain has enough quality in the squad to make a deep run, with expectations growing around a new generation of players.
Rising Spain Star
Yamal has become one of the main names linked to Spain’s World Cup hopes after his rapid rise for both Barcelona and the national team.

The winger came through Barcelona’s La Masia academy before breaking into the senior side, earning praise for his pace, dribbling and composure in high-pressure matches.
World Cup Countdown
He also played a key role in Spain’s Euro 2024 campaign, becoming the youngest goalscorer in UEFA European Championship history at 16 years and 362 days old.
The 2026 World Cup will run from June 11 to July 19 across Canada, Mexico and the United States.
