According to the Emirates News Agency, leaders discussed regional developments, including the impact of the US-Israeli war against Iran.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed stressed the need for closer coordination among Gulf states. He said the current phase requires the highest levels of integration to confront regional challenges, adding that the security of Gulf Cooperation Council countries is indivisible.

He reaffirmed the UAE’s solidarity with fellow member states and its commitment to strengthening regional stability and development.

OPEC Exit Signal

The summit was chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, bringing together leaders and senior officials from across the GCC to discuss regional coordination and recent developments.

It came as the UAE announced that it would withdraw from OPEC and OPEC+ in a move Abu Dhabi described as a strategic pivot rather than a departure from its commitment to global stability.

“The time has come to focus our efforts on what our national interest dictates and our commitment to our investors, customers, partners and global energy markets,” the UAE Ministry of Energy said in a statement.
