Fans Welcome Salah
Dozens of Trabzonspor fans gathered on Wednesday at Ataturk Airport to welcome Egyptian player Mohamed Salah after it was announced he would be joining the Turkish side.

Footage shows Salah leaving the airport and being mobbed. “Oh God… In the name of God… Mohamed Salah,” one is heard crying out. It also shows Salah performing the ‘triple salute’, a famous celebration in Turkish stadiums.
Emotional Airport Arrival
“A wonderful signing. We have waited for it for a long time, as the process took about ten days. We are very happy to complete this major signing for a team like Trabzonspor. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our club president. It is the signing everyone wished to make, the best signing in Turkey right now, and a name worthy of Trabzonspor,” one fan said.

The Egyptian player posted a short message on social media to Trabzonspor fans, saying: “Trabzon… are you ready? I can hear you… see you very soon.”
Major Transfer Deal
Trabzonspor officially announced the signing of Egyptian player Mohamed Salah after a series of marathon negotiations – and one of the most prominent summer transfer deals this season.
The 34-year-old joins the Turkish team on a free transfer after the end of his nine-year spell with Liverpool in the English Premier League. The agreement is a two-year contract with an annual salary of 17 million euros (about 18.4 million dollars).
