Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay district was transformed into a breathtaking fairytale wonderland on Saturday as the 2026 Standard Chartered Arts Carnival unveiled its radiant centrepiece: the enchanting ‘Night Glow Parade.’

Footage shows giant illuminated puppets glowing through the iconic sites of Lee Gardens and Hysan Place during the parade, featuring characters such as Pinocchio, Geppetto, the Sly Fox, and the Terrible Dogfish.
“The atmosphere today is quite lively. Many tourists and locals are here to watch the show. I saw some fantastic performances just now, and the music, along with the saxophone, is quite good,” a spectator remarked.

“I saw the Blue Fairy puppet and the puppeteer, Mr Fox. It’s great to see such a turnout. There are a lot of people watching here,” another added.
As the puppets floated above, a procession of performers in elaborate, glowing costumes swirled and danced below. Street performers, like acrobats and LED-lit dancers, wove through the audience, enhancing the carnival atmosphere.

“Pinocchio has always been a symbol of bravery, hope, and truthfulness, especially in Italian culture. In a world full of deceit and the like, we need something that can be truthful, like a beacon of light. And so, I think that my costume and my character really symbolise that,” a performer shared.
This comes as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Standard Chartered Arts in the Park Carnival in Hong Kong.
